Street Libraries - Coogee NSW.

Street Libraries - Coogee NSW.

Jul 26, 2021

Today I was panicking. I realised I had one book left to read (in Sydney we are currently in lockdown and, to make the long story short, I had to leave all my stuff - including books! - in a storage and pack a few things to survive the lockdown in a suburb called Coogee, close to the beach). ONE BOOK LEFT TO READ! This means hell to me! The second-hand op stores are all closed and where in the world would I find cheap books? My mind turned on the lightbulb. Street Libraries.

I posted on the Facebook Community Page of Coogee and several people answered me with the locations of some street libraries where I could find some more books to read. This became a project because, during lockdown, I have been pretty restless and trying to find any excuse to go out. Now, I will post a series of photos with little descriptions of the street libraries I find around Coogee and its surroundings. I will also let you know if I find any book worthy to read.

For now, they are such a precious thing to encounter and I am over the moon just at the opportunity of looking at them and opening their little doors and find books. This is a joy!

Oh, by the way, I would love to sip coffee while I walk to every street library on the map so if you feel generous, buy me a coffee and help me make this lockdown more bearable ☕️❤️

With love,

Magu
