I apologize for the lack of communication the last few weeks but I have been challenged with some flair ups which are a symptom of MS which I have been battling with for over a decade. The good news is with some positive changes I am back in full swing and ready to share some exciting news.
Firstly... Today we are getting a new piece of land surveyed for a prospective cat sanctuary that will be able to house 200 cats. As most of you know our cat safehouse was destroyed in typhoon Odette and outside of fostering and adopting abandoned cats and kittens we have not been able to fully support looking after these poor creatures. It looks like we have partial funding to get this project off the ground in the weeks ahead but will definitely be looking for more support. One generous donor has offered a match donation up to $2500usd up until the 15th of June. To date we have $200 in pledges. Let's see if we can get the match to the full $2500! Secondly we are very please to announce the collaboration with Canadian Artist Roxi Hermsen and Street Dog Sanctuary. This 4 piece collection inspired by our sanctuary dogs is up for grabs till Sunday for $1500usd. If not sold as a collection each piece will be offered individually via auction. We feel honored that she is working with us and 50% of funds raised will go directly to rescuing dogs off the streets! Thirdly we rescued Shongshong off the streets yesterday and she will need some support. Anyone interested in sponsoring her please reach out to us.
We are hosting a free community sterilisation and antirabies vaccine event on Sunday. These generally cost us upto $1500 each time with vet cost, transportation, accommodation, meals and medications. Fortunately we have some support so it will be around half that price this time as we only have one vet for the event.
