I started publishing short stories on twiain.com back in 2016, with a new one appearing roughly every two weeks.

Why short stories, when I also write novels? Because short stories are great. They give me an opportunity to experiment with different writing styles and other genres, then allow me to explore characters from my novels in a bit more depth, and they give me a break when the novels are hard work.

The stories vary - sci-fi, horror, thriller. Some are playful, many are dark. Some have happy endings, others don't, and many are ambiguous. I can't promise you'll like each one, but they're all under a thousand words, so they only take five minutes to read - ideal for a coffee break!
