She turned to look at her. “How long will this last?”
“Until I’m finished,” she answered, the only thing touching the keys being her stare.
“Finished writing? Or destroying her?” Met with a sharp glare but no words, she continued. “You really can’t have one without the other, can you?”
Letting her gaze fall back onto the keys, her fingers gently touched them as she replied, “All occurances have a first time.”
With a quiet laugh, she stood and began to walk away. Stopping, she gave a slight turn of her head for one last question. “Do you thank your mind for your delusions?”
A song wrapped in longing filled the air. She smiled when she answered. “Every night.”
