Greetings, dear pond supporters! Today I find myself feeling particularly stressed and wishing for a chance to stare at a pond. Watching the calm movements of water denizens, particularly fish, turtles, and frogs, has always calmed me. Well, I may not have a pond stocked with creatures to hand but I have a back catalog of hundreds of pictures of koi that I can share with all of you. Here's one photo from my adventure to China in 2019:

Whenever I come near a koi pond and I have a camera, you can bet that I'll snap dozens of pictures of the scaly beauties. Are they just fancy carp? Yes, yes they are. Are they still ethereal and beautiful to look at? Absolutely! At a recent horror book club event, I was reminded of my treasure trove of great photos from a fun fall trip years ago. Here are still more koi pictures that I snapped on that fabulous 2012 trip to the Anderson Japanese Gardens in Illinois:

What do you think, dear supporters? Do you prefer one of the above images over the others? Is the B&W or the Color more to your taste? Do you have opinions about koi, fish, or other water involved photos? Please leave a comment or question below and thank you for supporting my creativity.
