How many times have you wanted to try something, do something, wear a new style that you love, only to talk yourself out of it because you are scared of what will people think! We all do it at some point, and why? We do this because at some point we dared to try something , or posted a picture of yourself in an outfit, or in today's social media world you posted a reel, and someone said something negative. You got your feelings hurt, had your confidence bruised, and started second guessing yourself.
I know I have been there and done it! I was standing in a department store, looking at a mini skirt, and had a lady to the side of me shoot me a glance and say plus size women shouldn't wear mini skirts noone wants to that! I was crushed, even though I loved the skirt, I put it back on the rack and left the store. Later when I thought about it, I was upset that I didn't buy the damn skirt! I was looking at post from friends and people I follow online. Guess what several thick ladies like myself were rocking min skirts and looked fab! I knew I could have rocked that look as well, but I let a comment from a hateful person get to me. Today I would most likely roll my eyes and say let them turn their heads then, and hopefully leave it at that as I put the skirt in my cart lol. Since that day I have come to love my curves! I am striving to be healthy not thin, because I finally know and understand you don't have to be thin to be beautiful and sexy! You certainly don't have to be thin to wear a sexy outfit! Thats why I always ask my styling clients what styles the love! I do not ask what looks they think they can or should wear, its what styles and looks do you like ? You should chose your style based on what you like, and what makes you feel beautiful and confident , not what others think!
The same go's for sharing what you love! If you have a desire to do something, try something, or go after a dream do it! And if someone says something negative , roll your eyes and just keep going! Nothing kills a hater's joy more than you ignoring them while you continue to shine!
