With news of the new stimulus that appears to be on track for passage, we are finding out details that are more than a little disturbing.
The amount is a major point of contention, and the Internet is being flooded with memes of Marie Antoinette. With this being the second and smaller stimulus for the general public, and with families facing homelessness and bankruptcy, it is a tone deaf offering from our representatives in Washington.
We are finding that buried in the stimulus is a $500,000,000 aid package to the nation of Israel. Surprisingly, America Firsters become silent when Zionism is involved.
In the category of, "but wait -- there's more", this package also inexplicably makes streaming copyrighted content without a license a felony, rather than its previous misdemeanor status. It is intended only for large scale pirating operations, but in the real world, that's rarely how it works.
So what else does this stimulus package have hiding in it? It will be hard to tell. The previous stimulus enriched struggling Americans like Jim Bakker, Kanye West, Joel Osteen, and Tom Brady. Who will be the profiteers off of this one?
One thing we know for sure; it will not be the American people.
