AA Beyond Belief is a website and podcast, but it’s much more than that. AA Beyond Belief is a refuge, a home in AA for agnostics, atheists, freethinkers, and all others who seek a secular path of recovery within Alcoholics Anonymous. The stories presented here reflect the broad and varied experience of those who choose to walk the secular path in AA.
At AA Beyond Belief, you can participate in a global community of secular members of the AA fellowship. Here, you will find recovery stories in the form of blog posts, audio recordings, poetry, and video. You will also find well-written and researched articles on AA history, interesting essays about the Steps and Traditions, book reviews, and fascinating articles covering the latest in the science and treatment of addiction.
The content at AA Beyond Belief is created by our community, so we welcome and encourage you to use this site as a platform for sharing your experience, strength, and hope as a secular person in AA. Please send your personal stories whether it be in writing, or as an audio/video file. Submit your poetry, your photography, your artwork. Any medium can be used to communicate recovery, and it’s all welcomed at AA Beyond Belief.
In addition to the content on the website, we also produce a podcast that features personal recovery stories, as well as interviews with authors, and experts in addiction medicine. There are episodes featuring the steps and traditions, service work, and even movie reviews. If you would like to appear on the podcast, please drop us a line by sending an email to [email protected].
