For centuries Christmas plays a large role in cultures around the globe and when the early explorers set sails to Arctic and Antarctic those traditions came along one way or the other. But given the extreme circumstances in the polar regions, the limitations of transport and logistics but also the packed expedition schedules, how did Christmas actually looked like for Peary, Amundsen and Scott and what delicacies were to expect?
