A couple of weeks ago, a Meross engineer reached out to me. He provided technical details about some API changes occurring on their systems and clearly asked my help to reflect such changes in my components (API library and Meross HomeAssistant component). That is something really nice. In the first place, it clearly means they know how large is the user-base relying on such APIs and libraries out there. Secondly, they know how bad would it be to deprecate and break things for so many people.
As you can imagine, I've immediately put myself at work to reflect the necessary changes and provide a first beta version to test. After working at a new low-level library version (meross_iot), today I've released a first beta version of the HomeAssistant component that includes the new API calls. You can find it on HACS, after enabling the "Show Beta" flag. The version you should look for is the v1.2.10b0.
So... what now? Easy, I need some of you to test it. Be advised: this version is not yet compatible with the "local-addon", so do not upgrade if you are relying on the local addon component. Instead, if you just use the Meross Cloud Integration, then you are eligible to become a tester :)
