I've been going to both a writing class and an illustrated writing class, in the same building as a theatre class would be performing Seussical Jr. One of our tasks was to try and write something in a similar style, maybe with an illustration. It took me a while to get going but, eventually, half a poem fell out. I let it sit there in my head for a while, until the idea for the illustration came together and I figured out the remaining verses. This was the end result:
