Über Alex Wijnholds
I’m an independent software developer with a strong focus on building practical, well-engineered tools that solve real problems.
Most of my work lives in open-source ecosystems, where I design systems that prioritize correctness, transparency, and long-term maintainability over quick wins or opaque automation. I care deeply about clean architecture, predictable behavior, and solutions that respect user control and privacy.
A large part of my time goes into things that are often invisible: careful design decisions, debugging edge cases, reviewing feedback, and keeping projects stable over time. I do this alongside a full-time job, driven mainly by curiosity and the satisfaction of building things properly.
If something I’ve built has been useful to you, supporting me here helps offset the time spent maintaining and improving these projects. It allows me to keep investing in quality, respond to issues, and continue developing tools that are reliable and thoughtfully engineered.
Support is optional, but always appreciated.
