the zine for may 2022 is called « INJURY NOTED », a hand-stitched small booklet with sixteen pages of monochrome collage textures and a hand-punched semi-circular cover on soft teal-colored paper. see more here.

for the third month in a row, the process for creating this zine is rooted in a visit to a city -- this time, it's the result of about 36 hours in new york city. many miles of walking through manhattan and the bronx, a visit to the @nyplpicturecollection, collecting lots of wheatpasted papers and scraps with @jeremypbushnell, temporary unglued collage compositions and lots of textures seen on the street. there's bits of all of this in this here, topped off with all kinds of marginalia seen in the @nyplpicturecollection -- rubber stampings, fingerprints, wear and tear, evidence of circulation and use. in some ways, the different INJURY NOTED stampings seen throughout the collection fascinated me more than anything else, and i took many detail photographs of them.

subscriptions this month also include a vinyl sticker featuring one of my favorite works from 2021, and ten-dollar subscribers will also receive a 12-page color zine collecting some of my recent collages on vintage photographs, also with a hand-sewn binding.
