This Week Anime we're doing one of my top favorite anime of all time! With it's retro feel mixed in with bounty hunters in space.. it's no wonder Cowboy Bebop has won numerous awards.

Cowboy Bebop is set in the year 2071, following the lives of Spike Spiegel (an exiled hitman) and Jet Black (a former ISSP (Inter Solar System Policeofficer) who are traveling through space, bounty hunting criminals for bread. Spike and Jet both live under the same space roof aboard the Bebop, along with their trusty sidekick corgi (genetically engineered) Ein (short for Einstein). As registered bounty hunters, called cowboys, both Spike and Jet bring some pretty sweet fight scenes that leave you going.. "Oh!".

Through their adventures they pick up more to their Bebop crew Faye Valentine (a smooth talking con artist) trying to make money any way she can for a debt she doesn't understand, for an accident she doesn't recall, and a life she doesn't remember. Later on meeting Edward Wong (Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV, a self proclaimed name) living on earth as an elite hacker who has most definitely made a name for herself.

Throughout the serious, the crew goes through a serious of craziness and mishaps that seem to leave them without any money, while confronting not only their own lives but life in general and what's right and wrong.

Before I spoil too much for you, because unfortunately there is only one season of this anime. Japan was facing a hard time with crime rate and gang violence, they started cutting shows and things people watched because they were afraid it would be encouraged. So Cowboy Bebop unfortunately didn't make the cut.

I would definitely would recommend Cowboy Bebop. The soundtrack is phenomenal, the fighting styles are fantastic, and the overall stories down to each individual is something to be admired. I give two thumbs way up to Cowboy Bebop!

Until next week, See you Space Cowboy!
