TWA - Kiki's Delivery Service (Ghibli)

TWA - Kiki's Delivery Service (Ghibli)

Mar 14, 2022

Kiki's Delivery Service is a 1989 Ghibli film written, produced, and directed by the loveable Hayao Miyazaki. Originally adopted from a novel written by Eiko Kadona, written in 1985, and has won countless awards since it's first animated debut.

Kiki's Delivery Service is on the lighter side of most Ghibli films, it's much brighter and hints more towards things normal kids her age go through. That being said, not many kids go off on their own, but when it comes to a kid friendly movie, this is perfect for everyone.

In this Ghibli world, if you're a young witch in training, it's mandatory for you to leave home and try life on your own. More importantly making an impact and becoming of service with your witchy powers for wherever you choose to go. Kiki is one of those young witches in training. Along with Jiji her familiar companion, she embarks on a journey of discovery not just learning about the world around her, but truly finding who she is along the way.

As promising as most Ghibli movies, not only is the soundtrack amazing, the visuals are absolutely breathtaking. Ghibli always makes such wonderful films, they captures this unique and beautiful aura you just want to dive into. Kiki's Delivery Service is yet another success of their hard work and determination to create a heartwarming film, along with depth in every category that makes watching that much more enjoyable.

Don't just take it from me, definately check this Ghibli film out. If you have the time, I would also suggest watching in both English Dubbed and Subbed. There are a few differences of course, especially some of the way things come across. It's worth the watch!

Until next time beautiful creatures, Happy Animeing!
