If you have been drawn to here from a Facebook ad or even just a good old message, you might be wondering what exactly is this blog for. I have briefly mentioned it, but I use this as a place for my writing. This means poems, short stories, and more are all posted here. Right now I have been posting almost entirely poetry to this page. There are a few short stories that I will have linked down below. However, I'm here to talk more about what I do here and give more information about what my posting schedule is going to be like.

Okay now moving on.
First, an introduction: Hello everyone! My name is Hazel but here I go by my blog name Apathetic Potato. You can find me on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Allpoetry, and on Wattpad. On Facebook I currently run a page that is used to promote this blog, but I'll get to that in a little bit. I am an avid writer and reader. Some of my favorite book series currently include: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, and Arc of a Scythe. The first two are by author Rick Riordan, and the last one is by Neil Shusterman. Both are wonderful authors that I recommend checking out.
I also play tons of videogames with some including games like Minecraft, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, and Breath of the Wild. I am currently a staff member on a Minecraft server that's in beta testing, but it will be getting a official release soon. In Animal Crossing I have just almost finished destroying my island and will be rebuilding it soon. There are some cool things I want to do with it that I will post about periodically on Tumblr and Twitter.
Now, my plans: Keeping up with posting new content can be challenging and I'm ready to commit myself to you all. As a content creator, I want to make meaningful stories and poems that anyone can relate to on some form or another. So to breakdown my plans, here are four things I want to do or put myself up to.
Posting new poems everyday. Tumblr, Allpoetry, and this blog account are my three to go places for posting new poetry. Most of the poems I post are intimate pieces of writing whether they are simple or complex. I pour bits and pieces of my emotions and sometimes use them as a tool to rant. If you feel comfortable with someone ranting to you through their poems, then I hope you will enjoy reading these poems.
I would like to make a eBook featuring some of my favorite poems that I have written. There are so many that I wish to share with you and hope that you will come to enjoy! One thing I want to do with this ebook is feature some new, never-before-seen poems of mine. These poems would be exclusive to the book, but equally personal and full of emotion.
Short Stories and Prompts. Small stories are a fun way to tell new and intriguing stories. One day you're in the front seat of a spaceship blasting off towards the sun. The next you're in a swimsuit in the middle of the ocean fending off sharks. You can imagine yourself anywhere and there are just limitless opportunities for storytelling. The world is yours, so make it yours!
Prompts can be used to exercise your writing mind and get you into the zone to make cool new content. Its the warm up you would do in choir to get your voice ready. The practice of your craft that permits you to feel energized and ready for your work. I would like to post periodic writing prompts to encourage writers like you and me to keep writing. These are fun and can often turn into short stories if they pique your interest.Creating new Memberships for anyone who wants to support my writing and get extra content, discounts, and sneak peaks at projects. Do no worry though, I don't plan on integrating this in for a little while. I will also announce it a few weeks a head of time, so you can be ready. Of course I will be posting new poems for free, but if you want to support your fellow writer I would appreciate it so much. And instead of tipping and getting nothing extra, you'll be getting so much more.
