I lived, studied, and worked in the historic basin of Jerusalem for more than five years, and I return to the Holy Land several times a year to teach student groups. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Hebrew Bible at Bar Ilan University in Ramat Gan, Israel, writing about Iron Age (9th-6th century BCE) Jerusalem. Formerly, I served as the Dean of Administration at Jerusalem University College, where I continue to be a member of the faculty. I am also a contributor to ARCH Jerusalem, an NGO devoted to preserving at-risk cultural heritage in Jerusalem. I reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
