How could I have forgotten to mention this last time? The Braided Oracle has FINALLY gone to print, and as a thank you I'm giving all my BMAC supporters 20% off the deck. I'm not quiet sure how much it's going to be yet - I will be hand-printing the backs myself - so I still have to gauge how much time that will take me.
Getting the deck printed in time for my show was something I was determined to make happen, and even though the show is cancelled, this is still getting made. I'm really excited because this has been probably close to 6 years in the making. I've spent 3 years "beta" testing the deck and it works amazingly.
These are some of my print proofs: they'll be printed with a risography studio here in Vancouver, which means each card will be bold, beautiful, and unique. It's a gorgeous, eco-friendly medium with an interesting history, and I'm excited to have something printed this way. The card back design will be hand-carved and printed by me with a different variety of ink, so each deck will be a work of art and totally unique.
Each deck is 60 cards printed on 80lb paper and will come with a "getting started" guide and 100% organic cotton cloth to store the deck in. Hand printed/dyed cloths will be extra, price TBD.
