Sometimes you discover a whole new meaning to "living life on the edge..."
That's us, at the edge of Polar Vortex "Uri," on the line where the colors start to get warmer. Sure, we expected the coast to be a milder scene this winter. But we never could have anticipated that the year we decided to take the plunge and live on the road full-time would place us just beyond the outskirts of the winter storm of the century, with the state of Florida literally sticking out like a sore thumb.
We watch in disbelief as pictures from family stream in, showing familiar places windblown by subzero temperatures like an Arctic wasteland. I guess we missed the snow (I mean, show...)
Hang in there, frozen peeps - your time is coming, spring is just around that icy corner. After all, there's a whole lot of fluffy white stuff on the ground here too...
