Here is a beginning stage process photo of my jawbone. This is after I dremeled out the wispy design and added 2 layers of white acrylic paint ALL OVER the entire piece.
I filled the design with 2-3 coats of acrylic gold paint. Not pleased with how this was turning out, I snapped a pic (this pic) and posted it in a group on Facebook. I highly recommend you join if you are a creator yourself or are interested in unique art hand made by REAL ARTISTS! These people gave me the courage to use my gold leaf, and I am so glad they did! It completely transformed the piece.
Stunning, right? Definitely using leaf more than paint after this project.
One thing I am still not sure about is if I should make it hangable and if so, with what material?
Leather? Chain? Ribbon? Or hide the hanger?
