About myself

I'm Ary, an American-Indonesian father and husband from Los Angeles, California. For 14 years, I've been a full-time web designer and developer until the COVID-19 pandemic left me unemployed -- looking for a new source of income to provide for my kids and wife. That's when I found out about trading, r/WallStreetBets and all the money every retail trader was making.

Since the start of my trading journey in 2020, I've used every indicator and strategy out there. From the moving averages, golden and death crosses, to RSI and MACD divergence, you name it and there's a 92% chance I've tried it. I've also been a FOMO trader, YOLO trader, revenge trader and sheep trader (blind trades from social media accounts with a large following). I've made a lot of money, but lost even more.

It wasn't until Q2 of 2022 when I found the teachings rooted from Peter Reznicek from ShadowTrader and Jim Dalton where I had to unlearn everything I knew about how to read and trade the financial market from millennials on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram who've never worked on a trade desk before.

Now, I understand how the market works and the mechanics behind why price moves and I want to share everything I know with you to help you on your trading journey to achieve financial freedom, whatever that means to you.

"Why do you want to share your knowledge?"
Because if you're a non-profitable trader or someone who's new to trading, I've been in your situation and it sucks (financially and psychologically) to lose money, especially when you have dependents who are financially relying on you. And there's plenty of money to be made and go around in the market -- you deserve your piece of the pie.

Tools I use

  • TradingView for my technical analysis. Personally, it's the best platform for charting because the drawing tools are precise and user-friendly, not to mention works well across all devices (desktop, tablet and mobile).

  • Thinkorswim for my options trading. I use the desktop app mostly for the market profile and the mobile app to execute my trades.

  • Tradovate for my futures trading. The desktop app is a great platform for market profile because it gives a more in-depth look at order flow as an aggregated profile and split profile. I'm not a fan of the mobile app nor the drawing tools; wish they operated similar to TradingView's.

Services I use

  • Apex Trader Funding to trade futures without using my own capital. They have several account sizes you can choose from ($25K - $300K). All it costs is a low monthly fee to keep your account active. Use my affiliate link to get 50% off, promo code "AZEQGVAV" at checkout. I have several $50K accounts, each costing $85/month.
