I came up with this decision tool for reacting to hurt after a friend did something I perceived as hurtful and I reacted in a way I wish I hadn't. My reaction was heavily influenced by the cognitive distortions personalization and catastrophizing. I hope that by asking myself these questions the next time I'm feeling hurt, I'll be able to come up with a more effective wise mind response rather than an emotion mind knee-jerk reaction.
