Last week, I held a poll in regards to whether I should change the title of my upcoming novella, Black Lives Matter, or not.
What is this story about?? I'm so glad you asked!
It tells the story of a young black mother and her daughter who encounter an older, very racist woman inside a restaurant while celebrating the mom's recent graduation from medical school and becoming a doctor. Tragedy ensues and the mother and her family fights for justice to no avail which leaves the young woman with a burning desire to take matters into her own hands.
After a week of opinions on the matter, I have decided to go with the title "Say Her Name" as it had the most votes.
