I watched At Eternity's Gate last night, a film about the life of Vincent Van Gogh (the artist of Starry Night and others). It's an incredibly atmospheric film and left a lot of open space to let the mind wander, which for me, I tend to love.
Anyway, it inspired a poem out of me which never happens. So here you go.
I love to see the small, intricate, quiet moments
Where the space between words
Hangs
On your lips
A breath before speaking
Breadth
Where everything exists
In emptiness
That is full
