More than 12 years. That's how long I have been promoting the rights of seafarers as well as marine art and culture through Marine Café Blog.

Why these two themes? you might ask. Because I believe that the greatest challenge faced by the shipping world in the 21st century is how to reclaim its humanity. To borrow Hamlet's famous line, there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of by many in the shipping business.

I am an independent writer and thus can right candidly about maritime matters. At the moment, I am working on a second edition of my 2018 e-book, Close Encounters in Maritime Manila. God willing, this will be followed by a major book about seafarers' rights in the 21st century.
