Seafarers' rights and welfare are still top on the menu of Marine Café Blog. However, I feel that it's high time that more attention was given to maritime pilots, stevedores and fishermen. These groups of workers play important roles, but they tend to be ignored by the maritime press.
I have recently posted several articles about harbour pilots and have also added some useful pilotage-related files to the blog's Downloads section. I plan to feature more articles as well about stevedores, fishermen and, yes, lighthouse keepers.
