Being Tea is the name of both my personal belief/practice as well as the tea education business I founded.
In this space, we look for ways to get closer to our tea in a more lived in, embodied and personal way - not unlike getting down on your belly and watching grass grow. It's the little changes, every day, that matter. We move slowly, we breathe, we notice and celebrate small details and connections in our tea. In this approach, I believe we not only train our senses and our mind, but also find a peace and softness with our whole self.
This is also my full-time work, and the only means I have to support myself. I offer educational scholarships (for both Being Tea membership and our teacher training program) throughout the year for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ tea folks, and donations are the only way I'm able to sustain that program.
If you've benefited from any time you've spent in the Being Tea space - on Zoom, on YouTube, my newsletter, social media, or maybe an in-person studio or festival class - and you'd like to support the work I do here, anything you share is deeply appreciated.
With love & tea,
Sooz
