I'm currently working toward publishing my first collection of poems after many years of investing myself heavily in the craft. It will be a collection of roughly 15-20 poems which stand alone as works of art, but also contribute to the collection as a whole by representing a narrative. The collection follows a young man who starts a band and begins writing music for (and all about) his romantic partner, only to have their love fade away. The songs become a constant reminder to him of what he lost, and he struggles to let go of their relationship as she comes back in and out of his life, but as he begins to move on he learns to appreciate what they had, and the music that she inspired, without so desperately missing what was.
