If you use the PlayOn TV Desktop version, PlayonPal Uses the FFmpeg library to detect silence found in these video recordings and removes the silence from the beginning and end of the file.
This software uses code of FFmpeg licensed under the LGPLv2.1 and its source can be downloaded here.
