BunFun is launched a bit over three months now and the channel has just reached 200 subscribers. Hurray! I've learned a ton so far and I hope my videos help your little ones (or you) be more interested in Cantonese too.
Ever since I took a film course back in my university days, I've been fascinated by movie making. I even tried my hands, as a total amateur, on various on film productions and I had such a blast. Through creating videos on BunFun, I try to put together the things I know about video making while promoting my mother tongue. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy it. 😊
As blogged previously, I plan my contents around some concepts which children may find interesting. After a few months of production, I have now created more videos that share similar concepts, and I am trying to combine them into "learning units" (學習單元). Each unit, ideally (😁), will be teaching the keys vocabularies of the concept in Cantonese, while presenting that concept through engaging ways (game, quiz, puzzle etc). Even more ideally (😁😁😁), the unit is supplemented by other offline materials (like activity sheets, word pronunciation)...if only I have more capacity. 😓😓😓😓😓
(Anyway, for now...) BunFun's first ever video compilation is now uploaded (link below), and there will be more to come. I'm really excited to learn how you'd find this format, and what other things would be useful for you and your little ones.
