Silence

Silence

Sep 22, 2021

It didn’t matter where she went, the noise of the crowd tormented her, she was surrounded by sick people, some even dying.

That camp was full of people, one in a worse state than the other.

With so many people, Shria couldn’t sleep, she lost count of the nights she had spent awake helping the wounded or simply looking at the ceiling of her tent.

The crying of the babies, of the people that were dying,, & the ones that lost loved ones were all over the place. Every word that they spoke was remembered by Shria.

She just couldn’t stand it much longer. She couldn’t handle the pressure.. The fact of having to save someone's life was heavy, especially when at the other side of the tent was a family waiting for their loved ones to go back with them. But that wasn’t the worst, if that person died, her conscience punished her badly. She had to inform the family of the death, & that hurted her deeply.

Anyway, soon that situation would change, they were gonna send help.

The were gonna send it.

They should have sent it.

Deep inside her, Shria should have been thankful, there wasn't any noise around her.

Just silence.
