I am an author, speaker, and developer who is passionate about the intersection of front-end code and UX, digital accessibility, diversity, and ethics in technology. I keep myself busy working as a Senior Accessibility Consultant and Trainer at Deque Systems while also pursuing my Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interactions at Iowa State University.

In my spare time, I like to travel, garden, and engage with the accessibility and open source dev communities. I am the creator of the Accessibility (A11Y) Style Guide, the Accessibility (A11Y) Talks virtual meet-up, and the originator of the A11y Cats design.
