What Was Then Becoming, Took Hold

What Was Then Becoming, Took Hold

Oct 08, 2020

When the intensity rolls and calls forth the fantasies, you thought long dead. Slinking and sexily dancing in the flickering candlelight. That sweet sip of wine taken while trying to catch your breath. Feeling your lover’s heartbeat in time with your own. Hoping the waves of ecstasy pushing back and forth from head to toe will never cease. Lust was the emotional torrent that brought you to this place, but love is what keeps you craving the salty-sweet taste of their skin. Fight off sleep, the easing in of dreams because nothing will be better than flesh pressed, limbs entwined, soft breath upon your skin. And you remember feeling something akin; you remember the passage of time and the eventual disconnect you experienced with past lovers. Try to remember that those experiences had to occur to lead you to this place, this person, this night. And try to remember that this will never atrophy, never die.
