Hi guys this is Karen! Today is the last day of the year on lunar calendar (大年三十dà nián sān shí) which is the time families have the reunion dinner and welcome the new year. It feels so festive with new year decorations everywhere.
We are celebrating at my parents’ today. We had the reunion meal(年夜饭nián yè fàn) at 3:00pm today with a total of 8 courses including fish, pig’s feet, northeastern style salad, duck, and some other traditional northeastern Chinese dishes. We also called our relatives and wished them a happy new year!
I also got to hang out with my mom’s cat 奶油(nǎiyóu-cream). She is so soft and fluffy! 😍
Tonight we will watch the CNY gala on TV and have dumplings at night. Stay tuned😆
