It is snowing gently where I am today.
This morning, I am drinking tea and visiting with some poetry.
I landed on this poem, "the becoming-wing" by Nayyirah Waheed.
It is from her Nejma collection.
Nayyirah Waheed is one of my favorite poets. When I first read her collection "Salt",I felt like it spoke to all of me.
Her work is soothing, calming, jarring, validating and revealing. Her words can be gentle and strong, infinite and small. It can be a clashing of experiences that opens up something completely new. I'm grateful for this artist and how she expresses life.
