Simple Syrup:

1 cup Water

1 cup Sugar


Place water and sugar into a pot, turn up to medium heat (4-5 on the stove). Stir frequently until sugar is completely dissolved. Set aside to cool.

Double Shot on ice:

2 shots of espresso, chilled

1 cup ice

1-2 tablespoons simple syrup (up to you how sweet you want it)

Cream or Cream alternative


  1. Take your chilled espresso shots and place them into a cup with a lid. Secure lid onto cup and SHAKE IT UP! Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds-1 minute.

  2. Place ice into a glass, pour in the simple syrup, followed by the espresso.

  3. Add your cream or creamer alternative

  4. Stir together.

  5. Enjoy!


If you do not have an espresso machine, you'll need 1/4 cup of regular drip coffee (or French press), chilled. Follow the same instructions, and enjoy!

If you do not want the simple syrup or if you need an alternative to simple syrup, Maple syrup will work just fine.
