What is the Pop Witches Oracle Deck? It's a one-of-a-kind oracle deck featuring your favourite witches from movies, television, and comic books.
Pop Witches is the first deck of its kind, combining divination with all the witches we know and love from movies, television, and comic books. Each card has been created with care and love using digital collage, a love for pop culture, and intuition. The witch even went so far as to create an original sigil for each card!
Lia Taylor, the witch CRUCIFIXVI, is a multi-disciplinary artist, writer, witch, and self-acclaimed cinephile. The only thing they love more than the history of witchcraft is seeing witches in pop culture. It was only logical to use that love to create Pop Witches, a unique deck that is not only visually pleasing but also works beautifully as a tool for divination and introspection.
What makes this deck special? No other deck has been made to combine all of the witches that we love from movies and TV. We all have that witch from pop culture that we love, that captures our imagination or speaks to us on a spiritual level. Witches in pop culture inform our perception of witches, whether they're a classic witch like the Wicked Witch of the West in her green skin and black pointed hat or something more modern and alluring like the witches in Charmed or Sabrina.
The main deck is made up of 60 cards, representing all kinds of witches, including the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ witches that we've all fallen in love with. The deck features black and white artwork, original lettering, and a gilt silver edge.
The deck itself is already completed, but like movies and television, will always be growing to include more witches. These additional witch cards will be available through booster packs (like Pokemon! Gotta catch 'em all!), which you can collect, trade, and use to build your own unique Pop Witches deck.
I'm so excited about this deck. It's been a labor of love, and I've been working on it for over three years. You're going to love it. This deck will be an essential addition to any witch's collection, even if it's just a way to decide what witchy movie to watch next.
