Weekly Writing Prompts (July 11th)

Need some writing prompts to get you motivated? Set a timer and spend 15 minutes on these prompts.

MONDAY - Look at the picture above. Write anything that comes to mind while you look at the picture for 15 minutes. (Use your five senses: sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch)

TUESDAY - Make a list of your strengths and weaknesses as a writer. Make a game plan for improving your weaknesses.

WEDNESDAY - PLOT PRACTICE: Your character is stranded on a rowboat, floating in the middle of the ocean. Write ten possible things that could happen to this character to get them out of this situation.

THURSDAY - What would your job be in medieval Europe? Blacksmith? Philosopher? Royalty? Trader? Spy? Write about one of the most successful days in your profession.

FRIDAY - Write for 15 minutes based on this word: vase

SUNDAY - Listen to "The Night We Met" by Lord Huron and write a scene based on the song
