What's your gut flora number? How many varieties of whole foods do you consume?

Have you ever heard these terms? Go with your gut, butterflies in my stomach, or sick to my stomach.

I have always been interested in the effects of food on our body and health. Recently I have been reading up on and researching gut flora and the impacts of food on mental health and stress. It has been so interesting to see how so much is based on the food we consume.

I put together a list of all the food we eat, from vegetables to spices, animal based and plant based. To see how much variety exists in our diets. Did you know from 300,000 edible plants most of us consume about 200. I challenge you to put together your own list, think of every whole ingredient you eat, each part of a plant counts as a different ingredient eg. Radish, radish leaves, seed pods.
