If you love dark comedies, then you'll love 100 Bloody Acres. This movie is a 2012 Australian horror comedy film written and directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes. It stars Angus Sampson, Anna McGahan, and Jamie Timony. The story follows two brothers who are in the business of creating fertilizer from dead animals. When they run out of roadkill to process, they start to hunt humans for their blood and organs.
While discussing this film with Marcey, my co-host for the episode and I surmised that you could create a great triple bill with 100 Bloody Acres, Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil and Black Sheep. All these movies have similar thematic elements and would go very well together.
While most of the episode is spent discussing the movie, it was great to take a few minutes toward the end of the episode to chat with Marcey about some of her favourite (and not so favourite) Ozploitation films.
