Hey Squirrel friends!

I'll start off by saying that if you're feeling hungry whilst reading this post, the photos below aren't exactly going to help your situation! As I mentioned previously back in my drink photography post, I started doing food & drink pieces way back in 2016 whilst working in social media & marketing for a London hospitality company. What started as me shooting small pieces for social media campaigns quickly grew to me being a lead photographer for the company so it was a great learning experience in teaching myself a whole new subject within photography. Food photography is hard, I'm not going to lie. It helps to study each dish before jumping in; angles that you think might look good in your head quickly make things look dull, uninteresting or just plain unappetising when viewing through a lens. There's a big thing within food photography to fake things; shaving foam for whipped cream, oil for syrup, painted on grill marks etc. I like to work as true to life as possible & avoid faking things as much as I can.

So here we are, a selection of my food photography pieces throughout the years. These have been for clients such as Riverside Brasserie, The Diner & Atrium Kitchen with some of these shots having been featured in online & physical press & advertising. Hope you enjoy & as always, if you like what you see, please do feel free to buy me a rosé!

Loves & things,

Jamie xx
