Hey Squirrel friends!
My Mum's favourite film is Jaws. I have no idea where this obsession comes from but if that movie is playing on TV she will stop whatever she is doing to sit & watch it. When I was a kid, our Jaws video-tape was probably played more than anything else in our house which led to many a nightmare for my innocent mind. The first time I watched the scene where Quint is eaten, I was so terrified that she had to rewind the tape to try & pretend that he didn't get swallowed whole by a Great White (I was then subsequently re-traumatised moments later when she hit the play button & we had to watch the scene all over again....) Why am I telling you this? Because this is where my lifelong fascination with the deep blue sea has come from & the reason for this post.
This is a collection of my marine life images, predominately taken at the London Aquarium & Nausicaä Centre National De La Mer. I wasn't hired to take these but I have been fortunate enough to sell prints of a few of them (Hit me up if you want some!) It amazes me that we know more about the surface of Mars than the bottom of the ocean so I wanted to bring out that mysterious, enigmatic, slightly scary quality of underwater life whilst still portraying its natural beauty. Hope you enjoy & as always, if you like what you see, please do feel free to buy me a rosé!
