How do You Spend Your Free Time?

Nov 02, 2023

In one sense I'm fortunate that I have more free time than some. Because I'm getting my health stable & haven't gone back to work yet. Though I hope to slowly start doing that next year. One thing I focus on is furbabies & other critters. First is mine. My two kitties, Harris & Reni, are being fostered by a lady that I met through the shelter. Since things have changed with my housing, I'm currently in a motel that my caseworker put me up in. It was easier to have someone else look after them for now. I'm having them fostered as I intend to get them back.

My dogs are still with me. They're both 16. Fen is blind & has dementia. I was looking for someone to take him & Nat. Especially with what Fen deals with, it's good he stays with me. Though they can't stay in the room while I'm gone, so have to take them everywhere. Fortunately someone watches them on my maintenance days. We spend time on walks (they're not as enthused about them as they used to be & I need to carry Nat most of the time since he has joint issues) & cozying. I make sure they get some good people treats. What they're allowed to have.

I also volunteer with the kitties at the shelter two or three times a week. I've been doing that for seven years. Once I get more settled with housing, I want to expand into TNR, transports, rescue, foster & hospice. Definitely need a good place to do the latter two. In the meantime, on my Facebook, I share about animals that have been lost/found or are needing to be rehomed. I have a couple of my own groups for that. What is something that you spend your free time on?
