Szászbogács (Băgaciu or Gogacea, in German: Bogeschdorf) is the 246th fortification on my page. It is in Transylvania, Romania.

It has a wonderful Saxon fortified church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

The single-navel Gothic fortified church was built in the 15th century, assumedly on the site of a former church, and gave shelter to the Saxon villagers against the Ottoman raids.
