It happened a few days ago in Hungarian history:

The Battle of Nagyszőlős on 23 January 1662, the death of Prince Kemény János of Transylvania...

Two princes died on the battlefield, and Crimean Tatars, Turks, Cossacks, Polish, Wallachian troops were burning, looting, and devastating the once "Fairy Garden" of Europe.

I tried to shed some light on this period's history, based on the research mainly of Szibler Gábor and Szerecz Miklós, among other historians.

Before Prince Apafi Mihály I (1632-1690), the last sovereign ruler of Transylvania started his peaceful, almost 30-year-long reign, many terrible things had to take place.
