Everything is Imagination

Everything is Imagination

Jan 25, 2022

At different points in our lives, we may discover or unlock a certain crossroads. We may feel that things are all things or all that. The thing is, the crossroads we perceive may be coming entirely from our imagination and when I say this, I mean that everything is coming from our imagination, even the bowl of cereal you did or did not eat from three moons ago.

Inside the rich, vivid, and elegant studios of our imagination, we can vision things into being, however, I am not talking about a rabbit coming out of a hat. When we consider for even the briefest of moments that we are powerful imaginal beings skilled in the art of attaining outcomes, suddenly it becomes easier to participate in the dreaming of earth one vision at a time.

I’d like to set an intention for all of us to experience the most full rendition and edition of our imaginations as humanly possible and as often as possible. Through the words I type, the references I make, the pictures I paint, and the music I write, we can together connect into a resonant journey of shared dreaming where the world is actually full of possibilities instead of being half full, partially full, or empty.

When we adopt an imaginal-forward possibilities mindset, it becomes easier to challenge the monkey mind and to go from brainstorming to dreamstorming. Seemingly overnight, we are going from drawing upon the thoughts that have always been there to being able to access the imaginal dreamstream which can be a shared portal for feeling into visions, outcomes, and possibilities.

Welcome to the imaginal plane. It’s awesome here!

The ever evolving work of intuitive analysis involves tapping into streams of living, dreaming, and consciousness using a wide variety of tools, techniques, methods, and mindsets. It is for sure abstract and in some ways, that’s exactly the point: finding utility in things that “don’t make sense” or “cannot possibly have value.” Because when we deny or dismiss certain things as mere fantasy, we are excluding a crucial part of our creativity as human beings living in multiple dimensions. Sure, there are healthy and unhealthy ranges of experience with intuitive analysis (i.e. “too much too soon” or “too far out”), however this can also be true with everything in life — balance is key.

You do not have to evoke a meditative trance state in order to more deeply connect with yourself and the experience of your imagination. It can also happen spontaneously during a hot shower, a deep tissue massage, or perhaps while riding a horse in a lush meadow. Truth is: it can happen anywhere that makes sense for you and that falls within the focus of your capacity, what you are available for, and what you are tuned into. The point is not so much how we conjure the wisdom of the inner landscape so much as what we do with it and how we live it out. For example, if you receive an oddly specific mental image picture of a raccoon holding a chocolate cake on your interior, the pathway here could involve looking at the mysterious ways you may be tricking yourself into justifying dessert and late night snacks after dark. Ah! Suddenly a light bulb goes off.

Remember: imaginal intel has utility no matter how exotic or far reaching it may seem, sound, or come across. It can cue us into important things in meaningful ways. Often, it applies to the present moment, but other times, it does not. It may be days before we realize the meaning of the raccoon! Or maybe it shows up in a dream. In life, there are so many opportunities for meaning making and with intuitive analysis, we can learn to have a full experience of our imaginations for purposes of enhancing our self-discovery and self-connection. Visions are not meaningless, dreams are not meaningless, deja vu is not meaningless. Important: the world is ensouled with meaning and is FULL of possibilities! At any point in time, we can revise, edit, modify, or create a new story of living because authority = author-ity, i.e. you are the author, the one crafting the script! You’ve got this!
