Thanks for so much detail. I'm a beginner at restoring old Singers (128K; 99K) for students to learn to sew on. I was surprised to read about those felt washers in some tensioners (your D9 article). Not seen any in mine so far. Best wishes, Peter.

Hello Peter and thank you so much for the coffee! :-) The felts in tension units are very unusual indeed, and I'm not sure they are needed really. May be one of those things that people experimented with. Good luck with your projects! Elena
