Embrace the Question has embarked upon a study of Genesis and we are now into chapter ten. Strangely... revelation keeps coming from the chapters we have covered already. To me, this is not only mind-blowing, but PROOF that we are a part of a designed, divine system. Watch:
God plants a garden and puts man in it - Genesis 2:8
Noah plants a vineyard - Genesis 9:20
Eve took from the tree and ate - Genesis 3:6
Noah drinks from his wine and becomes drunk - Genesis 9:21
And they knew they were naked - Genesis 3:7
Noah uncovered himself in his tent - Genesis 9:21
And they made for themselves clothing - Genesis 3:7
And they covered the nakeness of their father - Genesis 9:23
And their eyes were opened - Genesis 3:7
And Noah awoke from sleep and knew what his son had done 9:24
Cursed are you - Genesis 3:14
Cursed be Canaan - Genesis 9:25
When we ask why God promised not to destroy the earth again, particularly in the same way as evidenced by the rainbow, we find an obvious answer. The deluge did not fix our problem. We fell twice. The dilemma of man never changed, even by starting over with Noah. God proved to us something that He already knew: we were going to require a different solution.
