So today I went back to the layouts I had started in Affinity for the cover, back cover, 4K NFT, and the print master. All looks good, and I am almost done in that arena. The physical paintings work well for the release, and their symbiosis is actually quite frightening if I can get away with writing that. I suppose I just did. But that's just the start. I also transcribed the lyrics again, but in the proper font, which is a typewriter font I chased down for ages. It goes well with the typed.art thing, and will work well for the lyrics. Now all I need to do is have my head examined for doing all of this stuff.
I guess it won't matter here if I give away some of the work, but for my own sake, I've started an even nerdier journal to keep track of the minute details, and there are plenty. Honestly, I must be crazy. But I digress. The first step is to create an NFT contract where the lyrics and such as NFTs will live. I am doing a "simple" lyric sheet on Typed.art where they will live on the blockchain forever. This is going to be easy enough as this will also be used on my own blog (here) for those that need them. However, there is a caveat...
The lyrics are also part of a PDF book and slide show that you can play on a TV. The PDF is going to be able to be printed or viewed on any screen that can display the pdf. I will also render out the pages as .jpgs that can be seen on a TV as a slide show. These will go with the Bandcamp version, of course, since iTunes, Spotify, etc do not allow downloads. People who get the CD and cassette (yes there will be such a thing), will automatically get these extras for the BC support. I will not know if there is to be vinyl until I get the full running order time for the EP. And even if there is to be vinyl, I'm still researching the viable way to do it. The last thing I want to do is mess this all up. These are details that I have been journaling extensively. You see? I told you. I'm crazy.
Today I laid out the artwork template for the PDF and lucky for me, this will work as the graphic version as well, otherwise, there would be three layouts to worry about. So far so good. I started out at 9 am and I'm feeling that the migraine might return if I don't take a true break. So...
Lyrics are typed out, research is done, layout templates are started, and art is looking good. It was a good day. But is it over??
