After spending my career finding the balance between my left and right brains, I've finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up.
I have always been about being authentic and talking about the stuff we're not supposed to talk about, and in doing so, I've found a deep power in sharing our stories—especially the ugly ones.
I write and speak regularly about mental health, trauma, and abuse. As a survivor of all three, it is my hope that by sharing my experience, I can help others open up and tell their stories. As Brené Brown says, "When we don't own our stories, they begin to own us."
I'm a solo mother, striving to raise a daughter who is strong and outspoken.
In the works: A book about the trauma of navigating the justice system as a victim and a podcast TBD.
When I'm not doing any of the above, I'm either traveling or drinking wine (or both).
